In the yard this weekend . . .

A very adorable dwarf iris in deep purple.

A gaggle of happy petunias.  They look like baby birds with gaping open mouths, begging for food.
I don't usually buy annuals.  Big made this purchase.

Cute stripes.  Middle picked these guys.

Well, once you start letting kids pick, everyone gets a say.  Mimi chose these red geraniums.

My dad's house in the valley had an iris bed along the whole south side of the house.
In spring, it was just overgrown with the most amazing iris.  When I sold his house &
moved him to nursing home, three clumps of these iris came with me.  They've been in pots and transplanted
several times, as well as tended in my friend's yard.  Dad's iris' are up as of today.

I have lots of volunteer holleyhocks.
They are all in really BAD spots, but that's what you get in a garden like mine.
It's only for a year.  You can't control everything.

Silvermound.  They're tiny right now.

Tri-color sedum is getting pink edges this week.

Pink creeping phlox.  It's pretty.

Yellow ice plant.  It's overgrown the bed & crawling into the street.

Strawberries.

Take it however you want:  I pruned this bush this week.
I like well-kept bush.  Ha ha.  Shrubs.  Crazy overgrown trees and shrubs are
one of my GRRR pet-peeves.  I like it this way.  The trash can hides behind it.
